The Musical Theater Center and it's parent company, Once Upon a Ballet, offer classes in Musical Theater, Acting, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap for ages 2 to16. MUSICAL THEATER
Dance, act, and sing to Broadway's favorite songs. Students will learn fundamental vocal, dance, and acting technique and skills each week, and then perform in costume on our Blackbox Stage every 5-6 weeks for Family & Friends!

ACTING
Students work on acting technique, improvsational acting games, and monologues that they perform for Family & Friends on our Blackbox Stage.

CREATIVE BALLET
Students learn beginning ballet steps and terminology, and then dress in costumes and apply what they've learned in a different Story Ballet each week! Magical Morning includes a Tea Party at the end!

BALLET
We offer Primary (ages 5-6), Primary II (6-7), Elementary/Ballet I (7-8), Ballet II (8-9), Ballet III (9-11), Ballet IV/Pointe Technique (10-13), Ballet V (12+), and Ballet VI (12+).

CREATIVE ACTING
Students will learn basic acting skills through a new story each week. They will play fun acting games, build their skillset through acting exercises, and dress up in costumes to act out popular stories and fairytales.

Workshops and Camps
ACTING WORKSHOP
4th Grade and Up- Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00, February 4th, 2014 through April 8th, with performances on April 11th. Students will spend 10 weeks learning lines, blocking, and characterization as they create Charlotte's Web. Performers will be cast and rehearsed once a week for the 10 weeks, culminating in a blackbox performance with lighting and costumes.

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOP
3rd Grade and Up- Tuesdays from 4:30- 6:00, Feb. 17th, 2014 through April 21st. The performance will be April 25th at 1:00 p.m. Students will be taught musical theater technique and will be cast in a workshop where they will learn and rehearse selections from popular musicals like Hairspray, Annie, Into the Woods, and The Little Mermaid. They will perform these selections onstage in our very own black box theater, complete with lights and costumes! This is a great oppotunity for students who are interested in performing but are not yet able to commit to the Troupe schedule, as well as for current Troupe members looking for additional training and performance opportunities! CAMPS
We offer Ballet, Acting, and Musical Theater camps during the summer and winter breaks! In addition to our 4-day camps, we do 2 on-stage Broadway Bound Musical Theater camps each summer (one for rising 6th grade and below, one for rising 6th grade and up. Campers rehearse for 2 weeks for a full scale production that is produced in a professional theater (older camp) or our black box theater (younger camp) at the end of camp.
